Drinking Celery Juice: Reasons, Benefits and Why I Stopped

BENEFITS OF DRINKING CELERY JUICE

Celery Juice

Hi! This is Xaam. It was all about my experiences drinking celery juice every morning for 30 days. Definitely go back and watch the first video, if you haven't already because this is where I explain who's behind the celery juice movement, what are the correct rules of consuming celery juice. how you can make celery juice at home, what's the budget, what were my reasons and results. Furthermore, I also talked about the mistakes I made along the way and how I fit drinking celery juice into my morning routine. one thing I'm really glad about that so many people commented under my first video about how thorough it was and that it's difficult to find any other video that goes so deep into the celery juice things online. So I'm really glad that people found great value in this video! I want to thank you for your kind welcome to my previous video where I really opened up and shared with you my whole story about transitioning to a whole food plant-based diet. So thank you for your sweet comments! The reason I'm making this Blog is that there are some questions in the comments that were repeated over and over. So I thought I'd give you my answers in a new Blog.

Many people ask me how long I drank celery juice for after making the first video. I continued drinking celery juice for four months, almost four months. I stopped because it was not sustainable anymore. I know I mentioned in my first video that because of the cost I would be drinking conventional and organic celery by turns. However, I didn't feel comfortable drinking conventional celery, even after washing it very thoroughly and following Dr. Greger's advice to soak the celery in saltwater. It's still...  the conventional celery tasted a lot more different to me and it tasted artificial and I just didn't feel comfortable drinking it.I thought I would be getting, besides the benefits, I would be getting all those toxic substances, pesticides whatever might be on the celery. So yeah,I decided to stop. And I didn't notice any benefits other than those I already mentioned in my first video. About a month ago I was able to get my hands on reasonably priced organic celery. Believe it or not, but the biggest supermarket chain in Estonia had taken in organic celery. However, this joy only lasted for a week and I haven't spotted organic celery in the same supermarket since. But I did this one week of juicing and it felt really good actually. The celery was so good tasting... good tasting? Tasted well!It was so sweet and delicious and I was really sad that it became out of stock.

Remember one of the main benefits I had last time I made my celery juice course was elimination? To my great surprise, this time when I made the one week juicing, I didn't notice anything. I mean, I didn't go to the toilet more, I didn't empty out more. I don't know what it was about, maybe I should have juiced for longer than a week or maybe then my system was already quite empty. I don't know! One of my reasons behind starting celery juicing, one of the biggest concerns that arose so many questions among women, were my fibroids. I received so many questions about whether I was able to better my situation with the fibroids. As I already mentioned in the comments, celery juice was not the only thing that I was doing (I am doing) to address the issue of fibroids. There is a whole myriad of things, a whole protocol that I'm following. So I can't be sure what has attributed the most, but I must admit I feel much better. I have much less pain during my period, which was my biggest concern. I mentioned in my first video that some resources suggest ditching soy products when dealing with fibrous. And some resources discourage eating any soy products at any time to any age or gender. So I want to talk about soy for a minute here to clarify things. What science says actually? There are many types of research -- I will link some articles and videos mainly from Nutrition Facts org below in the description.

When it comes to breast cancer for example, then those consuming soy products are less prone to developing cancer by sixty percent actually. That's not a trivial number. I would also suggest a well-known breast surgeon's book Breasts: The Owner's Manual. And she was a doctor who for 16 years prohibited her patients to eat soy products because she believed that the phytoestrogens in the soy act the same as hormone estrogen does. And when she started to write her book she really dove deep into the science and now she's really really sorry that she suggested all those women not to eat soy products because the science actually proves the opposite -- that soy is beneficial for women's health and men's health as well. I first learned about dr.Kristi Funk last year through Food Revolution Summit. She was an interviewee and also this year she was an interviewee. And it was such a pleasure to listen to her once again -- so many facts and wisdom from her. So I really suggest digging into her book and other resources she has available. Dr. Greger from nutrition facts or has made an excellent video about whether women with fibroids should avoid soy.

I am not the person to tell you whether soy is healthy or not. I am NOT scientist --scientists already have done the job and you can read the results from the published research papers. Some people commented that you shouldn't drink lemon juice before you drink celery juice, because celery juice has to be the first thing in the morning that you drink -- this is a correct way! Sorry! I have read Anthony William's book Celery Juice and the only rule here is that you have to drink celery juice on an empty stomach. If I drink my lemon water (not lemon juice), but if I drink my lemon water and then give it time to go through my stomach and through my intestines and by the time I drink my celery juice, my stomach is completely empty, then it's totally fine and it's the correct way. I hope I clarified that one. So that's it for today! Thank you for watching, my Blog about my transitioning story and if you like what I do, feel free to comment and subscribe.
